News from the Warriors:
Fairtrade Warriors are so happy to let you know that we have worked really hard and are now a FairAchiever School! We are so excited and are very proud of our certificate.
We are continuing our work this year and are keen to look at involving the wider school community in our work. We can't wait to find out the theme for Fairtrade Fortnight 2019. We are going to plan some special events very soon! We have included below what we did in Fairtrade Fortnight 2018 to give you an idea of what we get up to.
Fairtrade Fortnight 2018:
We held a Fairtrade assembly, Aled from FairDo's came in to talk to us about Fairtrade. We also had a Fairtrade colours day, all children and staff dressed in black, green and blue and made a donation to the Fairtrade Foundation. All children completed activities in class such as designing posters, taste tasting and playing games about Fairtrade. We also had a Fairtrade shop running over the week so children and staff could buy various food and drink products.
Following this, we were awarded FairAchiever status and we recently presented to the governors to share our journey to achieving this with them.
Keep coming back to check what else we've been up to!
