Autumn Term 2025

Hello and welcome to Dosbarth Gwyn 2025-26.

Welcome Back 

We are so excited to welcome all our children and families back for the new school year! We hope you had a restful summer and are ready for an exciting Autumn term full of discovery, creativity, and imagination.

Our topic this term is “Once Upon a Time…”, where we’ll be diving into the magical world of stories, fairy tales, and imagination. Through this theme, children will explore different types of storytelling, characters, and settings, while developing their reading, writing, and comprehension skills.

We’ll be enjoying a rich variety of books this term, including:

- Beegu by Alexis Deacon 

- Jack and the Beanstalk

- Extra! Extra! by Alma Flor Ada 

- Beauty and the Beast by Michael Morpurgo 

- Santa’s Greatest Gift by Tudur Dylan Jones 

Throughout the term, children will engage in storytelling, drama, creative writing, and art projects inspired by these texts. We can’t wait to see their imaginations come alive!
