Our Mission Statement:
"In God’s love we pray, play, learn and grow together".
Welcome to our Summer term.
I want to start with a MASSIVE well done for all of your enthusiasm and hard work in Spring term. I was blown away by your excitement to learn and the knowledge you gained in our last topic.
Our new topic is Land Ahoy.
Before this topic I asked the children to write down any questions they had about the topic, I have tried to use the questions as a base for our learning and I hope that they can be answered through our swashbuckling adventure.
Over the duration of this topic we will be learning about the life of a pirate, how ships float and what it took to become a pirate. We will have lots of fun on our journey through history and even find out if there are such things as pirates still around to this day. Over the next two terms we will be looking at the book 'Pirates next door' by Jonny Duddle and poem 'The Sea' by James Reeves.
We are very lucky this half term that we have repercussion visiting our class to do Music every Wednesday Morning.
Please don’t forget to check SEESAW for homework. As I post activities linked to the topic.
I hope you are all excited to step on board our Pirate ships and travel through the great seas.
God bless you all,
