Welcome to our school
On behalf of the staff, governors and pupils I am delighted to welcome you to St Michael's R.C. Primary School website. We hope you find it informative and that it gives you an insight into life at St Michael’s.
St Michael’s RC Primary School is a Roman Catholic, Voluntary Aided school in the trusteeship of the Archdiocese of Cardiff. The school is situated in the old dockland area of Pillgwenlly near the town centre of Newport. The school celebrated its centenary in 1999. However, the new building was founded in 1988. The Parish Church, St Michael’s is within walking distance of the school in St Michael Street.
At St Michael’s we are committed to providing a caring, safe, happy and stimulating environment in which every child is encouraged to reach their full potential in all aspects of school life. We aim to work closely with parents, the parish and the local community to provide what is best for the children.
Our Mission Statement:
"In God’s love we pray, play, learn and grow together".
